Bangkok, Thailand - The Taiwan Halal Integrity Development Association (THIDA) participated in the Thailand Halal Assembly (THA) 2025, a prestigious international halal conference held at Al Meroz Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand. Convened under the theme “Green Halal Beyond Sustainability,” the Assembly presented a forward-looking vision for advancing the global halal industry through sustainability, innovation, and international cooperation.

Thailand Halal Assembly 2025 emphasized the development of a sustainable and resilient halal industry and ecosystem through the strategic integration of environmental principles (Green), Islamic compliance (Halal), and scientific and digital innovation. This holistic approach aims to generate new value in both economic growth and social development, while addressing global challenges related to sustainability, food security, technological advancement, and ethical production.

As a leading academic and professional platform in the halal sector, THA 2025 brought together researchers, scholars, industry leaders, policymakers, and practitioners from around the world to exchange knowledge, present research findings, and strengthen international collaboration. The Assembly featured a comprehensive series of academic conferences, conventions, and exhibitions, including the International Halal Science and Technology Conference (IHSATEC), the Halal Science, Industry, and Business International Conference (HASIB), the International Halal Standards and Certification Convention (IHSACC), and Thailand’s International Halal Expo (TIHEX).

A key highlight of THIDA’s participation at THA 2025 was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for Academic Cooperation and Exchange between the Halal Science Center, Chulalongkorn University, and THIDA. This agreement reflects a shared commitment to strengthening international academic collaboration based on mutual trust, for the advancement of halal science, education, and technology, as well as the promotion of global understanding and goodwill.

Under the MoU, both institutions agreed to jointly develop collaborative activities aligned with their respective academic, educational, and technical strengths. These include:

  1. Joint development of research in halal science and technology, halal forensic science laboratory, human resources, publications, and information.
  2. Exchange of staff, visiting lecturers/professors, and student internships.
  3. Organization of join academic activities such as conferences and seminars in Halal Science and Technology.
  4. Exchange of cooperation deemed appropriate by both institutions.

Through its active engagement at THA 2025 and the establishment of this strategic academic partnership, THIDA reaffirmed its commitment to advancing halal development through research, innovation, education, and policy dialogue that align with Islamic principles and global sustainability goals. The collaboration further strengthens international networks and reinforces the role of academic cooperation in driving the future of the Green Halal ecosystem.
