THIDA Delegation Secures Key Certifications at Grand Halal Bangkok 2026

BANGKOK, 15-16 July 2026 — The Taiwan Halal Integrity Development Association (THIDA) has officially joined global industry leaders at the highly anticipated Grand Halal Bangkok 2026. The major international trade show has brought together numerous Halal certification bodies and industry representatives from across the globe, serving as a critical platform for networking and the exchange of certification expertise.

A Global Hub for Halal Trade

The event, officially themed "Purity Way of Life," is being held at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC). Co-organized by the Central Islamic Council of Thailand (CICOT) and Worldex G.E.C. Co., Ltd., the exhibition is strategically designed to strengthen halal trade engagement between regional Foreign Halal Certification Bodies (FHCBs) across all continents.

To demonstrate the significant backing of the event, multiple government bodies are involved in supporting the initiative.

  • Government Backing: The trade show is supported by several key ministries, including the Ministry of Industry, the Ministry of Public Health, the Ministry of Tourism, and the Ministry of Culture.
  • Opening Ceremony: The event launched with an opening ceremony attended by 800 distinguished guests.
  • Key Figures: Attendees at the opening included prominent religious leaders, leading Muslim business figures in Thailand, and commercial attachés.

An Unprecedented Scale

The atmosphere at BITEC reflects a massive global interest in the Halal economic sector. The sheer scale of the event provides certified companies with direct access to regional and global buyers.

  • Global Exhibitors: The exhibition is hosting more than 500 exhibiting companies representing 26 different countries.
  • International Pavilions: Participating nations featuring international pavilions include Saudi Arabia, Oman, Turkey, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, Pakistan, Taiwan, and the Greater Bay Area.
  • Visitor Turnout: Organisers anticipate an estimated 12,000 to 15,000 business visitors travelling from over 50 countries worldwide.

THIDA Advances Professional Competence

At the core of THIDA's participation is a commitment to upholding and advancing international Halal certification standards. Representing THIDA at the event, Mr. Nabeel Chang and Mr. Ibrahim Jao actively engaged in the summit's professional development offerings.

On 15 July, both representatives attended the rigorous Thai Agricultural Standard Halal Food (TAS 8400:2025) training program. Following the comprehensive training sessions, Mr. Chang and Mr. Jao successfully passed their examinations and were formally awarded their certificates. This achievement significantly bolsters THIDA's professional competence and reaffirms the association's dedication to maintaining the highest global standards in Halal certification.
