20250723- THIDA Secures BPJPH Approval of New Scopes

The process for the additional scope application began in November 2024, followed by the assessments conducted by BPJPH in March 2025. On 7 July 2025, THIDA was officially recognized for fulfilling the requirements to expand its halal certification scopes.

Initially accredited to certify only food, beverages, and slaughtering services, THIDA’s scope has now been expanded to include pharmaceuticals (drugs), cosmetics, and chemical products. With this milestone, THIDA is now authorized to offer halal certification across five key categories:

1. Food
2. Beverages
3. Pharmaceuticals/Drugs
4. Cosmetics
5. Chemical Products

This development marks a significant step forward in THIDA’s mission to support the growing demand for halal-certified products in Taiwan and internationally. The recognition by BPJPH reinforces THIDA’s credibility and readiness to serve a broader range of industries in compliance with Indonesia’s halal assurance standards.
